The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai is implementing a comprehensive project from June to September 2025 to improve road infrastructure and urban transportation across the city of Dubai. This plan includes the enhancement and development of 22 main roads, 9 school zones, 5 key development areas, and several internal road networks in crucial districts such as Al Khawaneej 2, Nad Al Sheba, Al Warqaa, and Jebel Ali Industrial.
The main goal of this project is to reduce traffic congestion, increase safety for drivers and pedestrians, and facilitate smoother movement in busy areas of Dubai. The project’s implementation is scheduled to coincide with the summer holidays to minimize disruptions to the daily commutes of residents.
Key routes and points improved in the RTA Dubai project include:

Roads from Jumeirah Village Circle towards Hessa Street, Ras Al Khor, Al Thanya, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Meydan, Al Saada, and Al Asil

The busy intersection of Al Wasl Street and Al Manara Street

Development areas of Al Marabea, Al Muhaysnah, Nad Al Hamar, and Oud Al Muteena

Construction of new routes to worker camps and upgrading key intersections for easier access to residential areas
Enhancements in school zones:

Creation of new access roads in the Al Warqaa 1 school complex

Addition of a bus entrance at Gems Al Warqaa 3 School

Expanded access to the English College in Al Safa 1

Construction of pedestrian crossings with traffic lights in Al Barsha 1
Local projects and area upgrades:

Improvement measures include building new sidewalks, creating parking spaces, and increasing pedestrian safety in Al Khawaneej 2, Tolerance, Nad Al Sheba, and Al Quoz districts.
The RTA has emphasized that all implementation stages will adhere to the highest safety and quality standards to provide the best services to Dubai’s residents.
