This year, Abu Dhabi aims to make New Year’s Eve unforgettable with the world’s largest fireworks display at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba. The 50-minute spectacle is set to break six Guinness World Records. One of the most exciting features of the event is the use of 6,000 drones to create mesmerizing aerial visuals.
In previous years, the festival showcased 40-minute fireworks displays that broke three Guinness World Records for quantity, duration, and design. Additionally, over 5,000 drones were used to set another record for the largest aerial logo.
This year, the festivities will begin at 6 PM, with hourly fireworks displays leading up to the grand midnight show, which aims to set new records. Alongside the fireworks, visitors can enjoy laser shows, cultural performances, and a variety of other activities.
Yas Island will also join the celebrations with two fireworks displays at 9 PM and midnight. Meanwhile, the Corniche, a popular destination with stunning coastal views, will host its own dazzling fireworks displays.
For more options to catch the festivities, you can head to the Liwa Al Dhafra Festival, Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, Madinat Zayed Public Park, Ghayathi in Al Dhafra, the area behind the Tam Center, Al Mugheirah Beach, or Al Mirfa.
