The UAE President discussed recent developments in the Middle East and the consequences of the attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities in phone calls with the leaders of Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
In the UAE President’s initiative, the Gulf Cooperation Council leaders emphasized restraint, constructive dialogue and diplomatic solutions to prevent the escalation of the crisis.
The leaders of the three countries warned that provocative actions could threaten energy and shipping security in the Strait of Hormuz and the region.
They expressed their support for international efforts to reduce tensions and expressed their readiness to cooperate with the IAEA to ensure that there is no nuclear or environmental threat in the region.
