Abu Dhabi is set to become home to the Middle East’s first Disneyland—an exciting and magical project bringing Disney’s beloved stories and characters to the heart of the UAE. The announcement was made during a special ceremony marking the 15th anniversary of Yas Island.
Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, stated at the event: “For 102 years, Disney has created unforgettable moments, and now with the launch of Disneyland in Abu Dhabi, we are turning a new page in our magical journey.” This park will be Disney’s seventh global resort and the first-ever branch in the Arab world.
He added, “By blending iconic Disney characters and stories with the region’s culture and preferences, this park will create a unique destination that welcomes millions of visitors from around the world.”
Mohamed Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, called the moment “historic and magical.”
The park’s design will combine modern architecture, cutting-edge technology, and the timeless spirit of Disney to deliver an unforgettable experience for visitors.
