According to the latest World Security Report, commissioned by Allied Universal and G4S, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been ranked as the safest and most economically resilient country in the world for doing business.
Security leaders in the UAE reported the lowest level of economic instability risk globally, reinforcing the country’s position as one of the most stable economies for trade and investment.
The study surveyed 2,352 Chief Security Officers (CSOs) across 31 countries, representing companies with combined revenues exceeding USD 25 trillion. Among them, 58 respondents were from the UAE and 232 from the broader Middle East. The report also included insights from 200 institutional investors managing over USD 1 trillion in assets.
Only 29% of security leaders in the UAE believe that economic instability could pose a security threat in the coming year—significantly lower than the regional average of 41% and the global average of 44%.
The report highlights the UAE’s leadership in adopting AI-driven security technologies. Around 59% of security leaders in the UAE said that AI-based intrusion detection and perimeter security will be critical within the next two years, compared to 46% regionally and 44% globally.
Half of the respondents (50%) also identified AI-enabled threat detection and risk assessment as a top priority.
In the field of autonomous artificial intelligence—the most advanced form of AI that operates with minimal human intervention—the UAE once again leads the region.
In incident response and emergency management, the UAE’s adoption rate stands at 26%, surpassing the regional average of 23%.
More than 52% of UAE security leaders identified process optimization and efficiency improvement as their main budget priority—11% higher than the global average. A similar proportion prioritized investment in new security technologies and infrastructure.
Overall, the findings position the United Arab Emirates not only as the safest place in the world to do business, but also as a rapidly emerging global hub for AI-powered security innovation.
