Holding a UAE residence permit is not only a license to live and work in the country but also offers significant benefits for international travel. According to the latest updates, holders of a valid UAE residence can travel to multiple countries without a prior visa, or obtain a Visa on Arrival in certain destinations.
Visa-Free Countries:
Asia: Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines
Middle East: Oman, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon
Caucasus & Central Asia: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan
Africa & Islands: Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives, Morocco, and Egypt
Europe: Serbia and Montenegro
Countries Offering Visa on Arrival:
Georgia, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan have special provisions for UAE residents.
Officially, starting summer 2025, Armenia will also join the list of visa-free destinations for UAE residence holders. This expands the list and makes regional travel easier for UAE residents.
However, some restrictions still apply for Iranian citizens in countries like Egypt, Jordan, and Singapore.
