The health-focused event “Dubai Mallathon” officially kicked off today, August 2, across nine major shopping malls in Dubai. Designed to promote a healthy lifestyle, the initiative offers a safe and air-conditioned environment for walking and jogging during the hot summer months.
Dedicated walking tracks—spanning over 10 kilometers in total—are available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the following locations: The Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Marina Mall, Springs Souk, Dubai Festival City, and Festival Plaza.
This initiative is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with the support of the Ministry of Defense and the Dubai Sports Council. On weekends throughout August, participants can take part in fitness challenges and family-friendly competitions, with over 40 iPhones, tablets, and gift cards to be awarded to winners.
In addition to physical activity, participants will benefit from free health checkups, nutrition consultations, healthy food options, and discounts on Uber and Careem rides. The Community Development Authority is also launching a parallel initiative aimed at seniors, called “Walking for Better Health,” at the same venues.
Registration is completely free and can be completed online. Participants will receive a digital participation card upon signing up via the official event website.
By offering a pleasant, accessible, and climate-controlled space for movement, Dubai Mallathon encourages people of all ages—from children to the elderly—to stay active. The event highlights Dubai’s continued commitment to making fitness a part of everyday life.
