His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has approved a new AED 6.75 billion housing package to support Emirati citizens on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. According to the UAE’s official news agency, more than 4,350 citizens will benefit from this initiative.
This package includes AED 5.08 billion allocated for housing loans to 3,172 citizens. Additionally, AED 1.585 billion has been designated for land and housing grants to 1,100 citizens. Furthermore, 84 elderly Emirati citizens will receive exemptions from repaying housing loans, amounting to over AED 94.8 million.
With this new initiative, statistics indicate that more than 123,000 Emiratis have received housing aid and benefits to date, with a total value reaching approximately AED 168.85 billion since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority. This initiative aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, emphasizing the UAE leadership’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the welfare and stability of its citizens.
Sheikh Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, highlighted the role of these housing benefits in promoting family stability and a dignified lifestyle for Emirati citizens. He stated, “This new package reflects our leadership’s continuous commitment to guaranteeing high living standards and strengthening family stability for Emiratis.” He also emphasized that the initiative aligns with the comprehensive development program and the Year of Community initiatives, focusing on fostering social solidarity and the significance of adequate housing in building a stable and prosperous society.
