According to reports from sources including The Times of India, the United Arab Emirates has temporarily suspended the issuance of tourist and work visas for citizens of nine countries across Asia and Africa.
The affected countries are:
Afghanistan
Libya
Yemen
Somalia
Lebanon
Bangladesh
Cameroon
Sudan
Uganda
This restriction applies only to new applicants. Citizens of these countries who already hold valid UAE visas are not affected and may continue to live and work in the Emirates legally.
So far, there has been no official confirmation or detailed explanation from the UAE government or its immigration authorities. Reports suggest that the decision may be linked to evolving concerns over security, public health, and migration management.
