Ras Al Khaimah welcomed 2026 with a grand, family-friendly celebration that drew thousands of residents and tourists to the emirate’s beaches.
Families and friends gathered around live performance stages and food stalls, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere along the shoreline.
Moments after midnight, a 15-minute drone and fireworks show began, during which Ras Al Khaimah set a Guinness World Record for the largest aerial drone display.
A total of 2,300 drones, including 1,000 pyrotechnic drones, transformed the night sky into a living canvas, forming the image of a phoenix — a symbol of rebirth and hope.
Fireworks stretched across a 6-kilometer route from Al Marjan Island to Al Hamra, illuminating the coastline with light and color.
Raki Phillips, CEO of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, said the event was designed for everyone, with the goal of creating lasting memories and welcoming the New Year with optimism.
She added that the record-breaking spectacle has reinforced Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a global destination for innovative New Year celebrations.
