Following the escalation of unrest and the continuation of protests in Iran, several countries — including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, India, and Australia — have issued official travel warnings advising their citizens against traveling to Iran.
On Monday, the Indian government released new travel guidelines stating that Indian nationals should avoid all non-essential travel to Iran. This decision was made in light of recent developments and the ongoing anti-government protests in the country.
The statement also urged Indian citizens and people of Indian origin currently in Iran to exercise extreme caution, avoid areas of gatherings, protests, and demonstrations, and continuously monitor the security situation through official sources and local media.
