The UAE Ministry of Education has confirmed the 2025-2026 winter holiday dates, giving parents and students across the country the chance to plan their next trip. According to the official academic calendar, students in both public and private schools will enjoy nearly four weeks off, starting from December 8, 2025, until January 4, 2026, with classes resuming for the second term on January 5.
This unified schedule allows families to book holidays, arrange family visits, and organize activities well in advance.
Private Schools in Dubai
Some private schools in Dubai, under the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), will follow slightly different schedules:
Indian curriculum schools (academic year starting in April): Winter break begins on December 15, 2025.
Schools following the September–June calendar: Winter break starts on December 8, 2025, in line with the MOE schedule.
The extended break will provide families with valuable time for travel, bonding, and recharging ahead of the new year.
