Job Description:
The Beauty Therapist is responsible for performing competent physical assessments (using all available resources including observation and communication) and preparing appropriate treatments for patients’ skincare needs, based on clinical knowledge, experience, and consultation with a Dermatologist or Physician.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize skincare equipment, tools, and professional products under the supervision of a physician and within scope of training and credentialing
Provide facial skin care to maintain and enhance appearance, including awareness of sun-related effects on skin
Perform all phases of skincare in a timely manner
Conduct chemical exfoliation, microdermabrasion, makeup application, waxing, facial procedures, and lymphatic massage under physician supervision
Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment skincare
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of procedures, including informed consent and patient education on equipment and skincare protocols
Maintain confidential and accurate records of physical findings
Manage inventory of skincare products in collaboration with Dermatology and Facial Plastics teams
Stay up-to-date with new skincare products and treatments
Provide training and education to patients on skincare
Recognize and manage emergencies or unsafe situations, initiating appropriate interventions
Perform all duties professionally and confidentially
Requirements:
Diploma in Beauty Therapy, accredited Aesthetician program, or Clinical Aesthetician training program
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an aesthetic department
