What is the Henley Passport Index?
The Henley Passport Index is one of the most recognized global benchmarks for assessing the power of passports. It ranks countries based on the travel freedom their passports offer, measured by the number of destinations accessible without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
The ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and evaluates the accessibility of 199 passports to 227 destinations worldwide.
Top Passport Rankings
This year, Singapore retained its top position, allowing its citizens visa-free access to 195 destinations. Japan, which previously held the top spot, has now dropped to second place.
