The UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs has announced the world’s first $1 million award dedicated to short films created entirely with artificial intelligence. Organized in partnership with Google Gemini, the prize will recognize works produced fully through AI – from idea development and scriptwriting to storytelling and post-production.
Alongside this initiative, the UAE also unveiled a 50 million AED Influencer Accelerator Program to support content creators and boost their global growth. In addition, the Creators Ventures Fund, worth another 50 million AED, was introduced to finance innovative projects that deliver cultural, economic, and socially impactful content worldwide.
The announcements were made during the preparatory sessions of the “1 Billion Followers Summit 2026” at Creator HQ Dubai. The fourth edition of the summit, themed “Content for Good,” will take place from January 9–11, 2026, across the Emirates Towers Jumeirah, DIFC, and Museum of the Future, featuring over 400 international speakers and attracting an expected global audience of more than 3 billion people.
