Amid escalating regional tensions and restricted airspace, major UAE airlines — including Emirates, Etihad, Flydubai, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, and Air Arabia — have suspended or rerouted dozens of flights. These disruptions affect routes to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and several Central Asian countries.
Emirates Airlines announced that, until further notice, it has suspended passenger services between Dubai and destinations such as Tehran, Baghdad, Basra, Beirut, and Amman. These suspensions currently apply to flights on June 15 and 16. Passengers are advised to check their flight status on the official Emirates website.
Etihad Airways has also cancelled its flights between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv until June 16. Flights to Amman and Beirut will only operate for prior reservations and under a new schedule. Some routes have been rerouted due to restricted airspace.
Flydubai has suspended its flights to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Israel for June 15 and 16. However, some suspended flights have resumed with alternate routing.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi cancelled several flights on June 14 and has offered affected passengers the option of a full refund or free ticket changes.
Sharjah-based Air Arabia has temporarily suspended flights to more than 10 countries, including Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Armenia, Russia, Georgia, and Uzbekistan. The airline also warned that additional delays or route changes may occur.
Meanwhile, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a notice urging citizens, residents, and travelers to stay in contact with their airlines and register with the Tajudi consular platform if they are currently in countries such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, or Israel.
