His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, hosted His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, on Sunday in Abu Dhabi. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and discussing the latest regional and international developments.
During the meeting, both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing fraternal relations and fostering joint cooperation across various fields — cooperation that serves the shared interests of both nations and contributes to the prosperity and well-being of the peoples of the UAE and Qatar.
The two sides also reviewed current developments in the Middle East and exchanged views on the ongoing regional challenges and efforts to address them. The meeting took place against the backdrop of heightened regional tensions.
High-level officials from both countries were present at the meeting. From the UAE side: Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed. From the Qatari delegation: Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.
