Sumiswararao Mungi, a 38-year-old fintech specialist from India, has been named the lucky winner of the region’s first 24-karat gold-plated Tesla Cybertruck.
His unexpected win was the highlight of the “Shop and Win” campaign, part of Dubai’s Gold Market expansion initiative, which ran from November 14 to January 31. During the campaign, shoppers received a raffle ticket for every AED 500 spent.
Mungi, who has lived in Dubai since 2021, said: “Honestly, I’m still in shock. People usually attribute such wins to luck, but I was told this might be a blessing from my past good deeds.”
He added: “It’s a humbling thought—it really matters how we treat others. I’m grateful to Dubai’s Gold Market expansion for this incredible opportunity. This win is a delightful surprise that has brought endless joy to my life.”
