Position Overview: Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, a luxury hotel offering a fusion of modern design and oriental flair, is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to join its team. As a Lifeguard, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all guests, while maintaining the high standards of service expected at Mandarin Oriental.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of guests at the pool area through constant surveillance.
Respond promptly and effectively in emergencies, providing necessary care until medical services arrive.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized pool facility, performing limited maintenance duties as required.
Uphold all hotel policies, including the Code of Conduct, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (LQE, MOQA, Forbes).Act as a hotel ambassador, offering exceptional guest service and maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Assist guests with any inquiries related to the hotel, wellness, and spa services.
Participate in training programs to stay current with safety standards and hotel procedures.
Support hotel operations by performing any additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Senior School qualification or equivalent.
Certified in lifesaving and lifeguarding, recognized by the UAE.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment.
Previous experience in the Middle East region is an advantage.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to understand guest needs and deliver exceptional service with minimal supervision.
