Despite the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel, Emirates Airlines has announced that its flights to and from Tehran will remain suspended until July 5, 2025.
The airline cited the continued closure of Iranian airspace to international flights as the reason for the extension—a restriction that was put in place following the 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel, which caused significant disruptions to regional air traffic.
While most regional carriers have resumed normal operations and air traffic across the Middle East is largely returning to normal, restrictions over Iranian and Syrian airspace remain in effect, according to data from Flightradar24.
Emirates also confirmed that its flights to Baghdad will resume on July 1 and to Basra on July 2, allowing passengers on these routes to travel via Dubai as scheduled. However, travelers whose final destination is Iran will not be able to book flights with Emirates for now.
In an official statement, the airline said: “The safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority.”
