Dubai has announced that nurses who have served in the city for over 15 years will now be eligible for the 10-year Golden Residency Visa. This initiative comes under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates.
The announcement was made on Monday, coinciding with International Nurses Day (May 12), and aims to honor the invaluable contributions of nurses to the healthcare sector and their vital role in enhancing the quality of medical services in Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized, “Nurses are at the frontline of our healthcare system and are essential partners in realizing the vision of a healthier, high-quality life for our community. We deeply appreciate their daily sacrifices in caring for patients and their unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.”
He added that Dubai values excellence and dedication, and continues to support those who serve with passion and commitment.
This initiative reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to empowering healthcare professionals and creating an environment where they can continue to thrive and serve the community with pride and purpose.
