Registration for the Dubai Marathon 2026 has officially started. This international competition, recognized as the oldest and largest road race in the region, will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026 (13th of Bahman 1404).
The 25th edition of this event, also known as the Silver Jubilee, is set to be grander than ever. Organizers have announced a series of special events from now until the race day to ensure that the city of Dubai is well-prepared to host this historic competition.
Each year, the Dubai Marathon hosts runners from over 140 countries. In addition to the main marathon course of 42.195 kilometers, shorter routes such as the 10-kilometer run and the 4-kilometer fun run are also available, ensuring that individuals of all fitness levels can participate in this event.
The race has seen impressive records in past editions. In 2008, Haile Gebrselassie set one of the fastest records in history at this event. In the most recent edition, Buzunesh Gebre from Ethiopia won the men’s title with a time of 2:04:51, and Birhanu Tsegaye from Ethiopia clinched the women’s title with a personal best of 2:18:27.
